Metal garage, what you need to know
Quonset huts, as originally designed, had sides corrugated with steel sheets. Their semi circular ends were wooded, as were their floors. The versatile structure of Quonset huts could be set up virtually anywhere. Their multi purpose structures found use as barracks, offices, ammunition dumps, housing, latrines, among many others. Thousands of Quonset huts were constructed for the war, and surplus ones were sold off to the general public at the end of the war.
